WorkCamp Testimony - Princess Sampol

On June 26 th 7 other teens and I left St Anthony's and headed towards Winchester, Virginia. We met up with a total of 330 teens at Millbrook High School where we stayed for a week to do Gods work. We arrived on Saturday night where we met with the other parishes of Arlington Diocese and met our work crewmates. Our crews were composed of teens from other parishes that we would be working with for the entire week. Every crew was assigned an adult leader and a contractor. On Sunday, the entire day was spent as a team building day so we would be able to all work together safely on the work site. On Monday-Thursday, every morning after mass, we would go with our crews to our work sites where we would do Gods work. Every crew would do various projects from repairing and building decks, roofs, floors and much more. At night, when we would return to the High School and we would have dinner. Dinner was always cooked by an amazing staff who always prepared a home cooked meal for us. One night the Bishops served us and lead us in adoration that night. Dinner was followed by program which was my favorite part of the day. Every night we would sing songs of praise to God, and dance. It was a great way to relax from working all day at our sites. Workcamp is the week I look forward to every year, seeing old faces and making new friends. Every year this week helps myself and the other teens grows closer to God and it’s such a great feeling to be surrounded with other Christians and God 24/7. I like to thank all here who made this week possible for the 10 of us to attend workcamp this year through your prayers and donations of time and treasure...thank you...
